Benji Matthews

At the age of 3 months Benji contracted meningitis and technically died, obviously he was resuscitated, however it had a huge effect on his development, he did not speak until the age of 4, and until he was 6 nobody could understand him, he communicated to his parents through music and it's that same music that has been such a big part of his life ever since. At the age of 12 he went for an interview at the Cornwall Sixth Form College, he was subsequently offered a place to study level III BTEC National diploma in music technology, this made Benji the youngest person in the country to be accepted on this course.
Benji writes all his own music and lyrics he wanted to record some of his own material for his grandmother's 50th wedding anniversary.
